During COVID, we saw the mass getting into cycling because many options becomes not available. When things becomes better, options opens up and many ditch their bicycles.
What did we learn from COVID ?
Many gets the experience of cycling and many benefits it can bring to us. Despite that, many ditch it when options (distractions) becomes plenty. That is the nature of human, not a fault.
We are into an Oil Crisis with unknown progression. It is revealing the fragility of a transportation that is heaviliy dependent on Oil. We are only seeing the immediate effects, many secondary efffects will surface as time goes, revealing their dependancy. We all hope it will not go there but the future will be what it will be.
What can we learn from this ?
Cycling is a viable and sustainable form of transportation relying on our own energies. It relieves us from the cost of fuel and the availability of it. We do need food, but we will always need it regardless and we get added health benefits from cycling.
The Question ?
How many will recognise the fragility of heavily Oil dependent transportation and start adopting cycling or maybe reignite their interest in cycling.
A fact to rest our thoughts upon. The more we derive our happiness and health from less dependancies, the more sustainable and longer we can maintain and retain our hapiness and health.
Stay Happy, Stay Healthy and Cycle On !
