In our world where Cycling is dominantly influenced by Tour De France, riding faster, further and harder are what defines a better cyclist. This is evident in talks amongst cycling groups and exercise platforms like Strava, Garmin and the likes who is ever pushing performance matrix. All this is good in the name of performance, quantity.
However, what makes a great cyclist vis a vis a good or a better cyclist are internal qualities more than external qualities. Things like when to slows down, when to stop and when to push a bike, not because he/she is not able, but because of the reasons to do so. These are the unseen qualities that defines a greater cyclist.
May we aspire to be better than just good cyclist.
