France Cycling Adventures

I have cycled in France, Paris in particular, on multiple occasions from 2014 through 2023. There has been a rich cycling culture here and it boomed after 2020 with the government of the day committed to rapid building of the cycling infrastructure when more people take up cycling commute during the pandemic.

In Paris, there are many cycling routes along parks that connects to the peripheral towns. The recent development in cycling infrastructures within Paris central had made it easier to connect to these routes. These are so much more beautiful that could be done as a day trip.

Central Paris has much of an old charm to offer, with its rich history, the Arts and many cafes for you to watch the world go by while sipping your coffee away. Not to forget, many restaurants for you to experience the French cuisine that is so delicately infused with its artistic culture. Fancy taking the challenge to sip one shot of esspresso over the entire morning ? I learned how to appreciate coffee here, trying out this challenge.

Venturing further out, France has a lot more to offer. The Loire brings you across the entire country and connects to Germany on the other end. The Loire has a long history of battles between these two countries. For the limited time I have here, I got to ride a segment from Orleans to Blois. Each of the town has its own unique culture and architecture. The people are also very different from the French in Paris. I have been told by many french that Paris do not represent France !

This is a place you wouldn’t want to rush through. Allow yourself time to soak in to the diverse cultures at the various towns and to pick up alittle on its history.
